Description: CardQuest turns a walk into an adventure in the real world. As you move around the map, you can discover chests and collect rewards inside the game. Those walks also help you collect cards, fill albums, and complete missions. There are ways to enjoy it with friends too: chat, trade cards, and compete together. We wanted the everyday act of going for a walk to feel like a chance to explore, discover something new, and make progress on a collection. The game is already released, so you can download it and start playing now. The video below is the same gameplay trailer on our Google Play listing and shows what the experience looks like.

Hey everyone!

I've been solo developing The Heist, a 4–10 player multiplayer social deduction game set inside a museum.

The idea is simple: steal priceless artifacts, outsmart security, and escape without getting caught.

But there's a twist — everyone has a role.

Some players are trying to steal, others are protecting the museum, and some have their own objectives.

The game currently features:

  • 9 different roles
  • Hacking, traps, and security systems
  • Valuable artifacts to steal and carry
  • Multiple escape routes
  • Social deduction, deception, and unexpected betrayals

I've spent a lot of time building this project on my own, and I've reached the point where I really need actual players to test it.

I'm looking for playtesters to help me figure out what's fun, what's confusing, and what needs improvement — especially role balance and multiplayer gameplay.

You can download here: Itch.io

The video shows actual footage from the game.

If you're interested in testing The Heist, leave a comment or send me a DM!

Thanks for checking out my game. Every bit of support means a lot to me as a solo developer. ❤️

Hi everyone! I'm working on a game right now called Ski-E-O! Ski Resort Tycoon.

It's a Ski Resort management game where you run ski resorts on real mountains from around the world, built from 1-meter LiDAR data, so it's accurate to the meter. It also has seasons and real weather for each area.

I often feel like tycoon/management games like this really miss the mark when it comes to controller ports, or getting things to run on platforms like Steam Deck. I refuse to lower guest counts, or give Steam Deck players a lower-end experience. It should feel just as great to play this game on Steam Deck as it would on any other platform.

I'm not quite there yet, but I would love this community's feedback on what has worked for similar titles on Steam Deck, for control schemes, performance, visuals, etc.

Thank you!

Our demo for Tandem Together is out on steam!

You’ll have to work together to ride a tandem bike, deliver some questionable cargo, and somehow survive everything we throw at you along the way. 💀

Here’s a glimpse at the chaos waiting for you in the demo. 👀

StickFrag is a free multiplayer stickman FPS that runs in the browser: https://stickfrag.com

Type a name, press Play, and you're in a match in a few seconds. No download, no account, nothing to buy.

What's in it

  • Two modes: team deathmatch, and gun game, where every kill swaps your gun and the first player through the whole ladder wins
  • Up to 16 players per room. Bots fill the empty seats, so a match always has someone to fight
  • 12 guns, 3 knives and 3 grenades, on 5 maps
  • Private rooms: send friends a room code
  • Comic-book look: every frame gets ink outlines, and stickmen go full ragdoll when they die
  • Runs on weak laptops and Chromebooks

What I want to hear: how the aim and movement feel, which gun feels wrong, and whether you'd play a second round. It's brand new, so every comment helps.

GenAI declaration: I wrote the code with an AI coding assistant (Claude), and it helped me draft this post. The models are built in code from simple shapes, and every sound is synthesized in code. No generated images, 3D models, sounds or voices. The video is real gameplay. The game uses no AI when you play.

The idea is that the Vigil can only be hit while staggered. To stagger it, you need it to lunge at you so that it ends up at the edge of the platform. The only way to dodge its lunge is to use your phase ability. If it hits you, you tumble to the ground, and the window to hit it back closes before you can get up.

Striking it while it circles you causes it to leap out of the way and counter-attack. The counter-attack will be a lunge, but if you manage to strike it afterwards, the next attack has a 75% chance of being a vertical crescent strike, to keep you on your toes.

After one third and two thirds of its health is depleted, it shoots horizontal crescents at you. These must be avoided by jumping - the phase won't help. That's the game's language: red and electric = no phase.

One little thing I kept for the adventurous or for speedrunners: You can get to this boss without grabbing the phase skill first, but the idea is that you should go get it before facing the Vigil if you don't want a bad time. There *is* one way to avoid the lunges without the phase, though, and that's by getting off the platform. If you're fast, you can get back up and get a hit in before it recovers.

Mind: This is the first boss in the game, and it's not a soulslike, haha. I want it to be relatively easy, but not dull.

Game Title: Incoherence: Dark Rooms

About the game: https://youtu.be/SkL909hdjYc

Playable Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4617940/Incoherence_Dark_Rooms_Demo/

Platform: Steam

Description: Incoherence: Dark Rooms is a room-drafting game similar to Blue Prince, combined with classic survival horror gameplay like Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

You are Astrid Kepler. You awaken in a strange yet familiar room with multiple doors, with no recollection of how you got there. As you explore, you discover that this strange place you are trapped in is constructed of interconnected rooms drawn from your own memories, beginning with fragments of your childhood and gradually extending into the later years of your life.

Every door you open leads to an unpredictable space. You must explore, solve puzzles, and manage limited resources as the mysterious structure constantly evolves around you. But you are not alone. Something else moves through the rooms with you, adapting to your progress and growing more dangerous the deeper you go.

Claybound is a 2.5D platformer where the whole world is clay, and you shape it to get through: pull a ledge up into a ramp, press teeth into a broken gear, pour a crack shut, roll a boulder down a slope you sculpted.

Play the demo in your browser (PC & mobile)

I'm a solo dev and this is my first proper game. What I'd love to know:

  • Is it clear from the video what the clay does, or does it read as "just a clay art style"?
  • If you play: where did you get stuck, and where did you get bored?

Hi all,

So last Friday I announced my game on Steam with a trailer. The old trailer really describes the game's aspects and gameplay and brings up features like a level editor well, in my opinion. Co-op aspects could be better, but I think it's "ok". However, it doesn't really send the message that it's fun, which is what it should do.

That is why I made this trailer. It's not so much about what the game is about, the co-op aspects and all that, but rather why it is fun. It also shows the minigames, which aren't in the old one. I don't think I can do it all in one trailer, so I think I'll use both.

  • I made this trailer in kid-safe mode. There is also a blood and gore mode. Is there a reason to have both? Does gore add something to it? (both versions on the website).
  • What do you think, looking at this trailer and the old one?
  • Which one is best, should I use both, or do you have an idea on how to bring them together in a format short enough for a trailer?
  • Most important: Does the game look like fun?

I'm going to launch a playtest soon and I am looking to get as many players as possible, so I really need the trailer to be engaging. If you want to join, fill in the form on m

Game Title: PESTBOUND

Playable Link: No public playable build yet — sharing the trailer for Trailer Tuesday. Project website: https://pestbound.com

Platform: PC / Windows

Description:

Hi everyone, I'm Patrick from Germany, and I'm developing PESTBOUND on my own. It's an open-world voxel survival shooter inspired by the time I've spent playing games like DayZ and Escape from Tarkov.

The world covers 4 km², with abandoned settlements, forests and roads to explore. You search for food, water and equipment, build a base, and deal with infected creatures and other survivors. There are vehicles, hunting and fishing, and the game is being built around playing alone or with friends on PvE or PvP servers.

For combat, I'm aiming for responsive movement, readable encounters and destructible surroundings that change how a fight plays out. The trailer shows scenes captured in the game. I'm currently working on getting the first playable build ready to share.

I'd love some honest feedback on what you see: does the movement look natural, and are the fights easy to follow from this camera angle? Which scene makes you want to see more, and which one doesn't work for you?

Hi guys, a solo indie dev here.

Number Machine is an open ended factory automation game with math mechanics inspired by Opus Magnum and Infinifactory. I contacted the author of these two games (Zach of Zachtronics) and we agreed to a Steam Bundle with all 3 games at launch.

Demo campaign has 10 levels, mostly simple tutorial ones and a few harder later on. There are online histograms, friend scores and world record charts, all fully server side verified.

Controller support included, but I suggest mouse and keyboard since you're mostly editing a factory design.

Full version is in a month on November 6th.

Hi guys,

My best friend and I are currently developing our dream game: a turn-based 4X strategy game condensed into one-hour matches. Our goal is to bring the joy of the genre to people who does not want to spend the whole weekend for one playthrough 😉

The best part: the demo was released last week so you can try the game for free! Every wishlist and everyone who tries the game matter sooo much for me and my partner. We spend 2 years on the project and now we would love to see people play it. Btw. I think we created a rather smart enemy-AI that can easily compete with good players without bonuses/advatages.

So if you have 60 minutes and want to support a small indie studio, I would love to see you try the game😊

Cheers,
Eric & Emanuel

Hi.

I’m working on my first truly serious, “bigger” project, a psychological/survival horror game called Sleepwalkers. From the start, I wanted to give this game a more distinct visual style, one that wasn’t just the typical Unreal Engine horror look. I just hate that all horror games are grey. Just grey. Grey walls, grey everything. That's soo boring. I started experimenting more boldly with colors, drawing inspiration from the work of Nicolas Winding Refn, among others and here's some of the results.

Many more examples are work in progress.

Hi! The Blessed Fool came out on Steam a few days ago: a short pixel-art point-and-click horror adventure about a holy fool in a town consumed by fear and violence.

I did the design and programming. The art and the music were made by two collaborators. It took 2 years, and I restarted the project about 25 times before it finally worked.

Does the mood come through in this scene? Let me know what you think!

We're really excited to finally share Mimic Hunt, our first game!

Mimic Hunt is a multiplayer stealth game where you hide in plain sight among crowds of NPCs. As a Hider, you need to blend in, mimic NPC behavior, and eliminate your assigned targets without exposing yourself.

Other players can take the role of Hunters and try to figure out which characters in the crowd are actually real players. They'll need to watch for suspicious behavior, disturbances, and anything that doesn't quite look right.

The world also reacts to what happens around it, so pulling out a weapon or causing violence can send civilians into a panic and quickly ruin your cover.

We've been working hard on the game, so we're really happy to finally be able to show it publicly. Here's our first gameplay trailer, we'd love to hear what you think!

I’ve been working hard as a solo indie developer on my dream project: "Milo: Beyond The Pines", a 2D pixel-art precision platformer heavily inspired by games like Celeste

You play as Milo, a little red fox navigating a dark, atmospheric, and rainy mountain world on a journey to find his missing sister, Luna. I wanted Milo to feel truly alive, so I've added some cute random idle/AFK animations—he chases his tail, rolls on the ground, sneezes, or stretches when you leave him waiting!

It’s finally out! The game/demo is officially live and available to play right now, and I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any critique on the movement and art style!

Hey guys! raven here, one half of the two-person team behind the space fungus game you helped name just last month.

Well, it's official: today we announced it, and the Steam page is live! And yes, you were super vocal about "Spungus", so it stayed. It just grew a little: Houston, We Have a Spungus. Next to "space fungus" in the post, Spungus made total sense, but on its own on a store page it was a bit too mysterious. So we went with a three-part name: the space theme, the "uh-oh, something's gone wrong" moment, and the "wait, wtf is a spungus?" part.

For anyone who missed the earlier threads: it's a tower defense where the enemy is one living organism rather than waves. It spreads across the map toward your colony, ripens, blooms, and eats any turret it gets its hands on. Every hole you blow in it fills back in (that costs it energy, though, which slows its front line down), even deep behind its front. There's no build phase, so you're placing towers while it pushes. You can't really kill it, so the job is holding the line until HQ is ready to nuke the source.

We're also running closed alpha playtests in the coming weeks, so if you'd like to get your hands on it early, let us know in the comments!

Oh, and u/Jarfino, you asked for gamepad support, and it's done. It would be really helpful if you could test it and tell us how it feels ;)

The trailer is above, and the Steam page is here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5229840/Houston_We_Have_a_Spungus. A wishlist would honestly help us a ton.

Feel free to AMA!

Much love,

raven

Last time we posted here, a lot of you asked what the goal is. Now it's beating everyone else.

Our new update makes multiplayer the default: everyone gets the same new courses every day, week, month and year, only your first attempt counts, and afterwards you can watch everyone's route on the map.

If you haven't seen it before: it's orienteering, where you navigate to checkpoints in a forest as fast as you can with only a map and a compass. Every forest is procedurally generated.

AI disclosure per rule 6: we use LLMs to write code and some art assets are AI generated. Terrain generation is hand-written procedural code, not generative AI.

Hi! I'm a physicist and mathematician from Spain. My bachelor's thesis was about rendering images of a wormhole faithful to the math (an Ellis / Morris–Thorne wormhole), and the results looked so cool that I wanted to walk around inside them in real time.

So I made Into the Wormhole: a puzzle game where you place, rotate and walk through wormholes. Nothing is faked with portal cameras. For every pixel the game traces the path of light through curved spacetime, so what you see through each mouth is what you'd really see.

The demo has 15 levels and it's free on itch.io (Windows + browser): https://halbarito.itch.io/into-the-wormhole

Heads up: the engine is very heavy. The Windows version is strongly recommended. The browser version can take ~10 minutes to load the first time (there's a Firefox tip on the page that makes it load in seconds).

I'd love to hear what you think, and how it runs on your PC!

Disclosure: AI tools were used for parts of the development.

I'm a motion designer/animator and I've been tinkering with a small 2.5D Metroidvania in Unreal. The clip is a first prototype – I've made the assets and animations and put this little section together in Unreal myself.

I'm looking for another hobbyist who's comfortable with Unreal and Blueprints and would like to develop the game together. Someone who enjoys level/world building would be especially great. PaperZD experience is a big plus, but not necessary.

I have a rough story and quite a few ideas for the mechanics, but I don't want someone to just implement them. I'd like to figure the game out together.

No deadline or big ambitions regarding scope – I'm a dad with a job and want to keep this small and actually finish it.

If this looks like something you'd enjoy working on, send me a message :)

Edit: Since the video starts mid-game, it seems to have caused some misunderstanding, so here's the idea. You take junk (TVs, radios, cars) apart, process the parts into raw materials, and ship them out until the heap is gone.

Hey everyone, been working on this for a bit and wanted to share.

The game is called Unfactory. Instead of mining raw materials to build products, you start with a massive heap of junk and have to work backwards—digging it out, breaking it down, sorting the parts, and shipping them off.

Still super early in development, but I wanted to see if the core loop makes sense. Does the idea come across clearly in the video, or does it just look chaotic? Would love any feedback
