A co-op action-adventure inspired by Magicka, I might have bit more than I could chew..

CodeMonkey once recommended I should move from pvp to co-op pve and so I did.

I've first added pvp gamemodes like 1v1 and 1v1v1v1, then started working on a co-op pve campaign and it required so much work just for a few minutes of gameplay... xD

I still was able to finish the story but the campaign is pretty short..
I don't think I'll ever try to make a story campaign again.. I feel like it's just too much work for a solo dev.
Especially the level design part..

I really fked up the steam part, launched the page when I didn't have anything good to show so I've wasted the steam page, I've launched a demo when the game was not in a good state so I've wasted the steam fest... and the demo page launch.. xD

The game tutorial is extremely important, at first I made the mistake of having a text dump, people would just close it instantly, so I made it a video dump, people will close it instantly, so I removed the ability to close the window until the video was done, people would spend the entire time trying to close the window and wouldn't pay any attention to the video :))))

Then I've implemented a special mission to slowly show players how the game is played, I was introducing new mechanics slowly and letting the players familiarize themselves with it first until introducing the next one and that worked.
But I've been told it was too long..

So the tutorial is extremely important, without it people would just close the tutorial menu and walk aimlessly around for 5 minutes until they closed the game.

And also making trailers is hard I think I re-made it like 10 times.

Multiplayer is pretty hard to work with I think I will have nightmares with "null reference exception" caused by the server/client knowing something the other one does not or just ping.

Though I think all my games from now on will be co-op multiplayer cuz, it just makes the game more fun, everything is more fun with friends so I think it's worth it, I've also got pretty familiar with how to avoid some problems but i still hit a null reference exception from time to time.

I've used Unity of course and mirror networking, fizzysteamworks transport for multiplayer, blender for 3d art and animation, audacity for audio, and photoshop for icons.
Also made use of some free 3d asset packs like foliage and building to speed up the process cuz I struggle at making those, and some free icons.

Steam, no ai use, except a free spell checker to correct my grammar mistakes that I thing it might have used AI for spell check.

In my game, a holographic rabbit lures a horde of zombies straight into a deadly trap or into explosive fuel barrels. One massive explosion, and a whole lot of zombie destruction! At this time, the player can take a break :)

Future Knight started with a weird obsession: bringing the look of old LCD handheld games back to life.

Not just as a visual filter, but as the entire identity of a fast 2D action game.

Every level mixes that old electronic-toy feeling with fluid animation, shooting, platforming, bizarre bosses and a very strange version of 1993 Tokyo.

We released it recently, and seeing players connect with something this unusual has been incredible — it’s currently sitting at 98% positive reviews on Steam.

This video is probably the easiest way to explain what Future Knight actually is.

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a small single-player arena action game called Save The Flag, and I wanted to share some raw gameplay from the Android version.

No trailer, no editing, just actual gameplay from the game.

You defend the American, German or British flag against endless waves of monsters, collect loot, level up and upgrade your weapons.

The Android version is available on Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.savetheflag.game&hl=de&pli=1

Would be interested to hear what you think about the gameplay on Android.

Some of the sounds in this video are a little louder than they have any right to be. 😅
You might want to turn your volume down a bit before watching. Your ears will thank you.

Playable links: Google Play and the App Store. Platform: Android and iOS. A few weeks ago my wife brought home one of those little handheld water games for our daughter. The plastic box with two buttons where you flick rings onto pegs. I picked it up to show her how it works and did not put it down for an hour. So I rebuilt it. The rings are real physics bodies pushed around by a flow field, so if you keep hammering one button you spin up a whirlpool and they ride around on it. A round is 60 seconds and there is a leaderboard if you want to see where your best lands. There is a crab that squats on one of the pegs and blocks it. You can hit him with a shrimp, which makes him full and lazy, so he settles in and stays even longer. If you give it a go, I would really like to know whether the jets feel responsive on your phone.

Dumbfire playtest (It's on Steam)

I'm working on a game called "Dumbfire" where you guide a missile through obstacles to hit the target.

I made a rough playtest that has actual levels now, a tutorial and some abilities you can unlock. Expect a lot of rough edges, especially UI.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I've been working on this solo the last year or so (with some help from some industry mentors) and am building a studio of ex-AAA devs to finish this up and ship on every platform, something I think is super important for co-op (couch co-op too).

Game is called Twin Hooks, it's a session-based beat 'em up inspired by It Takes Two, TMNT/Street Fighter with melee-focused Borderlands style loot.

We'd love to earn your wishlist and we have a 3 mission demo coming out September 21st:

Steam page is here. Your wishlist would be greatly appreciated https://store.steampowered.com/app/4844200/Twin_Hooks/

Miner survivor

I finally got around to releasing a demo of Miner Survivor on Android.

There’s still a lot I want to improve, but I thought it would be better to let people actually play it and give me some feedback instead of guessing what works.

Would love to hear what you think, especially anything that feels boring, confusing or annoying.

Thanks for playing!

Hello, I'm the solo dev of "Grow!" : an incremental × survivor that goes from atoms to the entire universe.

3,000 players on Android, 4.9 on Google Play (167 reviews) and 5.0 on the App Store (55 ratings) with 10k players. I attached some of the English reviews.

I swear my mom didn't write them. She doesn't even know what a incremental game is.

I know 13k players is nothing on the scale of this sub, and Grow! is a very small indie game. But coming from someone who makes games alone in his spare time, you have no idea what this kind of reception does.

I honestly have no idea why, but Android is showing my game to way fewer people than iOS. Which is strange, because Android players have left more ratings!

So the game just isn't finding its audience on Android, and the player count isn't growing. If you give it a try, I'd really appreciate your feedback.

If you like Vampire Survivors-likes and games where you optimize a lot of stats to get stronger, I think you'll enjoy it.

It's free to play, and I still balanced the whole thing around the free experience, you can reach and finish everything without paying, the IAPs are there but never required.

Hey r/AndroidGaming!

I’ve been building Cloudstrike as a solo developer side-project in my free time. It's a kinetic arcade shooter built entirely from scratch using a custom zero-allocation Go engine.

My main focus was performance and portability: it's optimized to run rock-solid on low-spec hardware (it's even running smoothly ported to retro handhelds like the Evercade Super Pocket).

Instead of traditional sprite sheets, the game uses no static assets. Everything (enemies, terrain, biomes, and bosses) is generated purely via code and seeds.

Highlights:

  • 100% Offline & Clean: No ads, no microtransactions, and zero data collectors/tracking.
  • Decoupled Engine: Physics and rendering run independently to keep 30+ FPS performance rock-solid.
  • Risk/Reward Mechanics: Features an 8-second shield-ramming cycle and an Extra Rockets system that triggers when picking up powerups at max HP to melt heavy boss hulls.
  • Zero Clutter: Just clean, kinetic screen action.

Attached is 90 seconds of raw gameplay from the game. Would love to hear your thoughts on procedural generation vs static pixel art!

Laser Guy on Steam

Platform:

PC (Windows) (Steam)

Description:
Laser Guy a twin-stick anti-shooter where you’re maneuvering your laser around coworkers trying not to blast anyone. Just another day in the gamedev office!

You are Harold, a little alien with a an office job in game development. When the tribulations of working on the video game industry become too much for Harold to handle, his panic attack causes him to start shooting a huge laser beam from his eyes, destroying everything it touches

The game controls like a top down twin stick shooter, but it's an anti-shooter, meaning you're trying to avoid hitting people. This means that levels play more like an action puzzle or platformer, and you have to study your routes through levels to find a way to get to the end of the room without hitting anyone

Free to Play Status:
Demo/Key available

Spent the last few months building a mobile game by myself, and I finally released it on Google Play.

Soul Rush is a one-tap survival runner where you control a soul moving between two rails, swapping sides to avoid obstacles through six increasingly difficult trials.

One mechanic I'm particularly interested in getting feedback on is the risk/reward system: getting close to obstacles builds a meter, which eventually gives you a temporary invincibility dash. So playing dangerously can actually be beneficial.

I'd genuinely appreciate feedback on the gameplay, especially difficulty, pacing, whether the mechanics feel intuitive, or anything that feels frustrating or off.

If anyone is interested in trying it, this is the link: Soul Rush

I decided to port my game to Android since I'm actually a fan of Android gaming (got myself one of those handhelds). Of course I had to add cloud saves and achievements too. If you got a controller that works too.

I've been working on Pendulo, a small timing-based browser game.

The goal is simple: release the ball at the right moment and land it as close to the center of the platform as possible. Each successful hit makes the challenge a little harder.

It takes a few seconds to learn, but getting a really high score is another story.

👉 Play Pendulo: https://tapokgames.com/pendulo.html

I'd love to hear your feedback - especially how far you can get and whether the difficulty feels right.

Hey! Solo dev here, just shipped a big update to my game Centric and wanted to share it with you all.

Centric is a one-tap orbit game, you tap to switch rings, dodge void dots, collect echo dots. It's been my side project for a while and this update finally adds something I've wanted since day one: a proper cosmetics shop.

There are 6 themes and 5 trails, all earnable just by playing.

The one I'm most excited about is the Abyssal theme. You only unlock it after playing 5 days in a row and honestly, I almost didn't ship it because it felt too grindy. But I kept it because when you finally get there, you're greeted with falling ash particles, a deep red trail, and a screen-crack death animation that I spent two weeks getting right.

Two weeks on an animation most players will never reach. Absolutely worth it.

The rest of the unlocks are pretty chill:

ItemHow to get
Midnight / Neon themesStardust (just play)
Gold themeHit score 100
Abyssal theme5-day play streak
Beach / PulseWatch one optional ad

There's also a Daily Singularity - one challenge per day, same puzzle for every player in the world. You get 3 attempts. I love this mode because it creates these tiny moments where you and a stranger halfway across the globe are trying to beat the exact same thing.

The game is free. Would love to hear what you think, and happy to chat about the build if you're into SpriteKit.

Making the Remove Ads IAP free for the next 24 hours as a thank-you to the community.

To get the deal: play one game (any mode) -> on the game over screen there would be a "Remove Ads" button -> click it -> it should be free for the next 24h

Defend the Core against the corruption front in a blend of idle tower defense and survivors-like roguelite gameplay. You start every run from scratch, drafting new Glyphs and fusing them mid-battle to build a completely unique arsenal to hold back the flood.

What makes Coreshatter different is the strategic pacing layer. Every run ends in a "Shatter" that banks everything you earned into permanent Foundry and Mainframe upgrades, so the decision is whether to push deeper for bigger earnings or bank early and restart stronger. The game keeps pushing forward while you're offline, so you'll always come back to a pile of resources ready to spend on upgrades.

The game is completely free to play with optional rewarded ads, and everything can be earned just by playing the game.

Get it on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/coreshatter-idle-td-roguelite/id6780365607

Happy to answer anything!
