The Complex 2 is one of the most realistic A-Sync Backrooms games on Roblox, combining procedural generation, immersive exploration and advanced gameplay systems.
In Devlog 3, we're showing some of the biggest additions to The Complex 2 yet.
The Backrooms are now procedurally generated. Every session creates a different layout, with interconnected corridors, rooms, multiple floors and entirely different environments to explore. The world dynamically generates around players, making every exploration feel different.
We've also introduced several new environments, including detailed houses with functional doors, kitchens, balconies and staircases. There's also the KLWNA-inspired biome, featuring massive arches, stairways and interconnected rooms.
But exploring the Backrooms isn't always safe.
The Bacteria entity can emerge from its nest and chase players through the environment. It can break through doors, and players can fight back using the shotgun. Shooting its limbs can weaken and slow it down, giving you a chance to survive or finish it off.
We've also introduced stationary radios that can be placed around outposts. They work like fixed walkie-talkies, allowing nearby players to hear and communicate with each other. When you're far away, they can also serve as waypoints to help you navigate the Backrooms.
Another new addition is blue wall tape, allowing players to mark their routes directly onto walls.
Our goal with The Complex 2 has always been to create a Backrooms experience that feels like an actual place, rather than just another Roblox horror game.
From realistic environments and procedural generation to interactive equipment and dangerous entities, we're trying to push what's possible inside Roblox.
The Complex 2 releases September 27th, 2026.
